Whew!
Posted by Jenevieve
Alright, alright, I know you all are just itching for a Price update, so here I am to bring you all the latest news and updates for us.
Well, I survived a week at the research lab. I spent my time partially in the Valley and partially in West L.A., playing with and cleaning cages for a variety of different animals. It was a lot of fun, but they sure ran me ragged! I was exhausted by the time the week was through.
What else have we been up to here in the past two weeks? Well, we went up to Northern CA for Andrew and Bianca's wedding. It was AWESOME. What a beautiful and joyous time! Matt played guitar for one of the songs, and I read an excerpt from a story they liked. It was good to be part of their wedding, and just so cool to see two people we love marry each other! Also, it was more than fun to see a hundred billion people I know and love and to whom I wish I lived in closer proximity. Matt and I had lunch with Kayla right before the wedding. I heart her.
Let's see... the baby shower was yesterday, and widely considered a success. Mom, Sam, Nana, Kayla's mom Lucy, and about a million other people worked way too hard to make it the most awesomely Nessie-themed party ever! We got some fabulous gifts and a big wad of cashola, so that was cool too, but mostly it was great to party it up with people.
I think that pretty much brings us up to speed with the happenings here at the Price. The Nessie is doing well, still kicking like crazy and generally making us ever more anxious to meet him. For the next couple of days we are up with the Grandparents Potter, hanging out (and shopping) and relaxing a bit. Then we are back down in L.A. for about two more weeks before we head out.

Woo-Eee!
Posted by Jenevieve
I promise I will give you guys a good long post soon about all the haps since we arrived in L.A. This week, however, I am working as a volunteer at the VA research lab. I am there for the whole day and am so thoroughly exhausted by the time I'm done that computer is the last thing on my mind. I haven't even checked blogs in ages.
Anyway, I hope you all are doing well!

After a long and mostly non-arduous journey, we are safe and sound in L.A.! The ultrasound was postponed, so we'll let you know Thursday.
Now, I need a shower.

Everybody Has a Water Buffalo
Posted by Jenevieve
So when I've been telling people this week that I've been working on a water buffalo farm, almost all of them start singing that Veggie Tales song. Apparently that song really meant a lot to our generation.
It was a lot of fun, though. I helped tag calves ears, and feed orphan Aberdeen Angus calves, and clean refridgerators (yup) and shift stuff around in trailers, and spend a lot of time riding over pastures in a Ford pickup. My view looked like this (click to enlarge):
Beautiful, huh? Here's a close-up of one of the lovely buffalo chillin in the loch:
I'll put the rest of the pictures (and a billion others) up on Flickr in the next week or so. You know, when we are down IN LOS ANGELES for A WHOLE MONTH with no car and very little on the agenda. Many improvements will be made to ye olde Scotvet.net.
