As a new parent, I learn rules as I go along. One is this:

If your child sleeps well three nights in a row, do NOT tell anyone about it. Don't even comment to yourself about it. Heck, try not to even notice it at all. If you do, it is a guarantee that the next two nights will be hellaciously long, with the child waking up at least every three hours.
