2007, The Home Stretch
Posted by Matt
Well, this is it, the final sprint to the end of the year. Jeni has the week off of classes and is studying like mad for exams next week. I'm doing my best to keep Hosea off her hands, but our little guy is going through a growth spurt so while last week he was plenty happy to sit next to us in his bouncy chair entertaining himself for a good part of the day, this week he's gone back to being super grouchy and needing constant hands on attention. He also wants to eat every hour and a half, so Jeni's studying is interrupted pretty regularly. (On that note, Hosea's being almost entirely breastfed now. I'm giving him at least one bottle a day of expressed breast milk just to keep him accustomed to taking a bottle. We could go entirely without bottles when Jeni's home though since breastfeeding is going so well. For proof just look at the last post.)

The upside of the growth spurt is that Hosea can do so much more physically than he could even last week! He loves his hands; he's grabbing at stuff and playing with stuff all the time. He's also started doing this: (warning, nakay babay ahead!)
