Drought or Flood
Posted by Jenevieve
In 17 years of calling this house "home", nobody in my family ever called an ambulance. Oh, we went to the hospital dozens of times, but we always drove ourselves or had someone take us (um, or walked). In fact, the only two times I ever remember emergency personnel coming here were (1) a couple of firetrucks when Cynthia, mom, and I set the kitchen on fire, and (2) a police car when my truck was stolen from the driveway.
But in the last week, we've had two paramedic teams here. Two. One was on Monday, when mom began experiencing extreme tachycardia (up to 160ish!) and chest pain. She spent the night in the hospital and came home with a diagnosis of "something to do with your thyroid...?". Then today, dad couldn't get out of bed due to dizzy, whirly faintyness. Yeah, I've been there. They did a bunch of bloods and a CT, and they sent him home with "something to do with your sinuses...?".
Geez oh man. There's still some Jeni's White Trash Lemon Drop punch in the fridge which is calling my name. It's 10:20 p.m. in Edinburgh right now, so that's okay, right?

Too Much Fun
Posted by Jenevieve
... to actually post anything! Sorry about that. The little man can now crawl very fast, pull himself up on anything, cruise around while holding onto stuff, get from a lying to sitting position, balance while sitting on his haunches, and take a step or two while just holding one of our hands instead of both. Man.
Here are some pictures:
Swimming with Daddy on a (very) hot summer morning.
Taking his breakfast on the back patio.
Riding the swings at Petit Park.
The most popular attraction at Sebastian's 7th birthday!
Also, Mary is married! And the wedding was beautiful! Yay! (No pictures, sorry. I was too busy.)
...um, that's all. I start work on Monday so I should have more goodies for you then. Oh! I passed everything, so I'm on my way to 4th year!!!! WOOOOOO!!!!!
Peace out. I'm friggin' tired.

We made it!
Posted by Jenevieve
We're here! Hosea is already in love with his grandma and Tasha, and he slept from 7 last night to 6 this morning with only a couple of wake-ups. Mom's house looks great, and HBP has his own room!
He was pretty good for the flights; he didn't really sleep, but he also didn't scream the *whole* time. He did nurse for about 2/3 of the time, but that was really okay by me.
He also learned to crawl! Mid- nappy change! On the floor of the terminal at Heathrow! Yeah, he's adorable.
That's all. I'm really friggum' tired and need breakfast.

In The Top Ten Things You Don't Want To See...

...on your online bank account transaction, I would say that $1000 dollars of fraudulent charges from a gas station in Jamaica is high on my list.
Man.
Man.

Now is the perfect time...

... to panic!
Yeah, we're moving and cleaning and whatnot, and I was doing alright until about an hour ago. When I lost it. Now I'm convinced that we will never ever ever get our flat moved out and cleaned out and Priced out before, you know, September.
